Elan Ibex 84 Carbon Skis
The Elan Ibex 84 Carbon skis are light and quick on the ascent yet stable and solid on the descent. A universal touring ski that doesn't leave much to be desired.
Designed for the determined touring skier, the combination of Bridge technology with the Tubelite Woodcore results in a strong ski with power, rebound and the best weight/performance ratio in the touring segment. The Elan Ibex 84 Carbon ski's light weight can be misleading. Rest assured the Ibex 84 carbon ski handles the most demanding terrain with utter confidence and ease.
The unique shape of the ski prevents snow from sticking to the top which means no more dragging snow uphill! The mountain rocker gives enough float during ascent in the soft stuff and confidence when charging on the way down, no matter the snow conditions.
If mountains are your second home and the ascent is equally important as the descent, then the Ibex 84 Carbon is the perfect tool for your mission.

Bridge technology is a unique design that reduces weight and enhances performance of Elan’s Adventure series touring skis. An ultra-thin shaped wood core is reinforced with bridge inserts from tip to tail to deliver torsional stability and superb power transfer to the edges.
The Mountain Rocker profile features a moderate tip and tail rocker for better float, easier turn initiation and versatility in varied snow conditions. Combined with a moderate amount of camber underfoot, Mountain Rocker also delivers great precision and stability on groomed slopes.
The TubeLite Wood Core involves two super lightweight Carbon tubes inserted into a lightweight laminated wood core. Measuring 5mm in diameter and hollow in their construction, these tubes run along the length of the ski following the arc of the side cut. They provide torsional stability and powerful rebound while allowing for material reduction of the core. The result is incredible lightweight response and stability.
A Fibreglass reinforcement optimizes the flex pattern and enhances torsional rigidity of the ski. The fibers are positioned either above or below the ski core and improve the ski’s structural integrity.
Vapor Tip inserts are advanced composites that are integrated into the tip and tail area of the ski‘s core. These inserts reduce weight and vibration, dramatically improving stability and ensuring a smooth ride even in the most demanding conditions.
The CYA plate is the binding mounting mat in the adventure series skis that is compatible with all commercial bindings and is reinforced with aluminium for safe and secure mounting.
