The Line Sir Francis Bacon skis are Eric Pollard’s personal quiver of one, designed to be the most versatile ski in his collection for handling all terrain and all conditions.
The Sir Francis Bacon features a 107mm waist width paired with 3D Convex Tech tip & tail technology, with the playful all mountain freestyle feel that you’ve come to expect and love from the Bacon, just with less weight.
3D CONVEX TIPS & TAILS:
Developed by Eric Pollard, convex contouring across the tip and tail of the ski loosen the ski feel by increasing powder snow displacement – and creating a tip and tail more inclined to plane – for an added dimension of turn shape.
The Sir Francis Bacon has plenty of width for the pow along with the agility needed to ride the entire mountain. The SFB has been designed for a level of quickness and versatility previously considered impossible in this width, yet with enough float to be worthy of Pollard’s name.
A lower Early Rise tip geometry PLANES INSTEAD OF PLOWS in the deep. The length of Early Taper puts much more Active Edge length in contact with the snow for MORE GRIP & LESS SLIP. The Bacon’s smooth & reliable flex pattern feels like an extension of your feet, literally carving on a dime as well as it floats in the powder.
The Sir Francis Bacon would be a great tree/pow/BC ski out west, and even on the east coast.

SIDEWALL CONSTRUCTION:
Ultra-High Density Polyethylene vertical walls over the edges absorb vibrations and provide powerful energy transmission.
FATTY BASE & EDGE:
30% thicker base & edge, 2mm wide x 2.5mm high steel edges and 1.7mm thick base dramatically increase durability and tuning life the skis.
LONGER ACTIVE EDGE:
The effective edge of the ski is elongated for better grip throughout the turn.
